Every time a user clicks on one of your Shortly links, our global edge network intercepts the request, logs vital analytics data, and seamlessly redirects the user to their destination in milliseconds.
You can view these insights by navigating to the Analytics tab in your Dashboard.
What We Track
Our tracking engine captures several engagement vectors for every click:
Geographic Data
Using Edge network headers, we identify the geographic origin of the click. We track both the Country and the specific City, allowing you to see exactly where your audience is located globally.
Device & Browser Information
We parse the visitor's User-Agent string to determine:
- Browser: (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
- Operating System: (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
- Device Type: (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop)
Referrer Data
We track the referring URL, so you know exactly which websites, social media platforms, or email campaigns are driving traffic to your links.
Performance & Privacy
Our analytics engine is built to be completely asynchronous. This means the click event is fired off into our database without blocking the user's redirect. Your users get to their destination instantly, while your dashboard populates with fresh data in real-time.
